About Us
After nearly 20 years showing and breeding Labrador Retrievers, a move to the Southern Highlands in 2019 triggered a change of breed for our kennel. Our new property had no facilities for the Labradors, as we had downsized our number of labs due to work committments a few years prior, making the move a little smoother. With Dachshunds being in my family for a few generations as companions, we introduced a miniature smooth to the household. Nearly 12 months later, another "appeared".. with our show team expecting to grow in 2024.
Our Dachshunds join us with two horses, a few goats and too many wild kangaroos on our 27 acre property. I exhibit the Dachshunds a few times a month and the rest of the time the dogs enjoy the country life.
I work in the veterinary industry and have done for over 30 years. I am a member of Dogs NSW (ANKC) and am also on the committee for the Dachshund Club of NSW. We are not a large kennel pumping out litter after litter, but are selective with our dogs and take breeding a litter very seriously, choosing the best male for our bitches in the hope to produce quality miniature smooths.
